Lulu Junior Author of the Month - Aubree Rodriguez
We’ve got an amazing featured author for July! Aubree Rodriguez wrote the story The Fun Beach. Aubree not only shared her story with us but was also able to read and share her book with her class at school! It is awesome to see our author’s get excited about their writing.
Of note, Aubree wrote her story in the first-person without naming our narrator. Is it Aubree? Is it a fictional character? Who can know?!
Let’s get into The Fun Beach!
On a sunny day, her mom asked, “Do you want to go swimming sweetie?” They got all their things and headed to the beach. Our narrator dug into the bag and realized her mom forgot her suit! Her mom asked “do you want me to look in the car for it?” But no luck it wasn’t there!
Her mom asked, “Do you want me to call Dad?” Again, no luck! He didn’t answer.
There happened to be a beach stand with bathing suits. Her mom asked, “Want to see it?”
They walked closer and closer and closer to the beach stand and they bought one of the suits! They were finally able to go swimming and ended up having the best day ever!
Aubree’s ending of the story comes with what she wants us all to remember most about her book, which is “that just because things aren’t starting off right that doesn’t mean you can’t still have the best day ever.”
Great advice, Aubree! And thank you so much for sharing your story with our readers! Keep reading to see what Aubree shared with us in her interview!
