Author of the Month - Gabriella C.
It’s finally summer and we are all spending a lot of time outside. This makes July’s featured story very on theme: it was inspired by the author’s own backyard. Our featured author is Gabriella who wrote, “The Lancaster Forest.” So let’s get into it and take a trip into the forest!
There are crickets that sing. This is the Lancaster Forest. There is a bunny that listens to the song of the crickets. This is the Lancaster Forest.
There is a coyote that hunts the bunny. This is the Lancaster Forest. There is a bird that watches the coyote. This is the Lancaster Forest.
There are ferns that hide the bird. This is the Lancaster Forest. There is a running brook that the ferns float in. This is the Lancaster Forest.
There is a frog that lives in the brook. This is the Lancaster Forest. There is the snake that eats the frog. This is the Lancaster Forest.
There is a hawk that eats the snake. This is the Lancaster Forest. There is a mouse that hides from the hawk. This is the Lancaster Forest.
There is an owl that finds the mouse. This is the Lancaster Forest. There is a deer that listens to the hooting owl.
And that is the Lancaster Forest.
Thank you Gabriella for sharing your story with us! Her story really shows us how nature and animals are all connected. Continue reading to find out more about Gabriella and her writing experience.
